An extraordinary mountain.A vision worthy of it.Haven at Kirkwood
Kirkwood, California · 7,800 ftSome places are discovered.Others are understood.

Winter
Some of the deepest snow in the Sierra, reached from the door.
Summer
The same paths lead to trails and the meadow. Long evenings on the ridge.

Autumn
Aspens turn along the valley. Quiet trails, clear air and the mountain nearly to yourself.
Art in the home · Concept renderingArt, all year
Art woven into the homes and landscape offers something new to discover with every season.
Tahoe is one of the most sought-after mountain destinations in the country. That demand brought investment and rising values. It also brought year-round congestion and crowded resorts.
The major Tahoe resorts are busy in every season: lift lines in winter, packed trails and traffic in summer. It is no longer a peak-season problem. It is the new normal.
Kirkwood sits at the quiet southern end of Tahoe, just outside the Basin. World-class terrain and uncrowded slopes. The distance that keeps it quiet is what Haven’s buyers are looking for.

Kirkwood has kept its own character.

The mountain was always here.
We saw what could be.

One vision.Distinct expressions.A place designed as a whole.
Twenty homes and one private lodge on the slopes of Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Architecture, interiors and landscape conceived together, each with its own character, yet connected by a singular vision.
Homes that belong to the mountain they sit on.
Stacked, open floors held in a single dark frame that turns its corners in one continuous curve. One roof plane lifts toward the view.
Warm timber, floor-to-ceiling glass and a base of local stone. Each home is built and sold finished, not as a shell.

Few materials, well made.Oak floors, plaster walls, stone in the wet rooms, bronze hardware. Chosen to age well rather than stay new.
Skis on at the door. The ski room opens straight onto a ski-way. In winter you leave from home and come back to it.
